More Than 1.5 Million People Seek Prem Rawat's Inspiration and Guidance
NEW DELHI, India, April 13 /PRNewswire/ -- Between February 19 and April 11, Prem Rawat, known also as Maharaji, held 22 events in 11 locations throughout the Indian subcontinent. During this time, a total of more than 1.5M people came to seek his inspiration and guidance.

Some of the events attracted record-breaking audiences even by Indian standards: more than 375,000 people attended the event in Kanpur, an industrial center in northern India, and more than 325,000 people attended the event in Gaya, a city in the state of Bihar.

Additionally, an event with Prem Rawat in Delhi on March 27 was broadcast throughout India to more than 1,500 locations, where more than 500,000 people had gathered to hear his message of peace.

In February, Prem Rawat attended an event at the Indian Institute of Technology in New Delhi, where he addressed a capacity crowd of faculty, students, and guests. He later addressed a distinguished audience of civic, government, and business leaders at the invitation of Rotary International, at the National Centre for Performing Arts in Mumbai.

Linda Pascotto, President of The Prem Rawat Foundation, said, "This record-breaking tour shows that Prem Rawat's message is receiving rapidly increasing interest. The size of the audiences that his message attracts in India is limited only by his availability. He has received invitations from dozens of cities throughout the country, and this tour could have continued throughout the year. In two weeks, he will start speaking at events in the North Pacific, and later in Europe, North America, and the South Pacific.

"We are also thrilled that Prem Rawat was able to attend an event in Sri Lanka for the first time in 23 years. The hostilities that have disrupted this once peaceful island for the last twenty years have now diminished, and people interested in Prem Rawat's message of peace were able to attend the event safely. Many people in the audience had lost family members in the recent tsunami and found great comfort in hearing his words. A number of people who attended are also involved in helping to further the food aid initiative that the Foundation is currently heading on this island in collaboration with Jeevashakthi Society Ltd., a reputable local nonprofit organization, and we are grateful for their generous support."
